Eastleigh SC Masters swimmer, Stella Brown, makes history by swimming across the Channel!

Eastleigh Swim Club is incredibly proud to announce a groundbreaking achievement by one of our dedicated Masters swimmers, Stella Brown. At the age of 60, Stella successfully swam across the English Channel as part of a five-member relay team on 17th August 2024, completing the challenging swim in an impressive time of 12 hours, 5 minutes, and 57 seconds. This marks the first achievement of its kind within the Eastleigh SC Masters squad since its reintroduction in May 2023, and we couldn't be more thrilled!

Since joining the Masters section in December 2023, Stella has trained diligently twice a week with our dedicated team, demonstrating incredible determination, resilience and a true passion for swimming. Her unwavering commitment, combined with the support and guidance of her fellow swimmers and coaches, has culminated in this remarkable accomplishment.
