Summer Nationals Qualification: Club Captain Alana Maddock Secures Five Events
22 May 2025
We are thrilled to share that our esteemed team captain, Alana Maddock, has officially qualified for this year’s Summer Nationals. Earlier today, Alana received her confirmation email, cementing her spot in five highly competitive events:
-
200 m Freestyle
-
400 m Freestyle
-
800 m Freestyle
-
200 m Butterfly
-
400 m Individual Medley
This outstanding achievement not only highlights Alana’s versatility in both sprint and distance disciplines but also marks a milestone moment for our club. As captain, Alana has led by example all season—balancing rigorous training sessions with team mentorship.
Her qualification times this season have steadily improved, reflecting a dedicated off-season program and a laser focus on technique and endurance. Alana’s strong performances at the regional trials last month laid the groundwork for her nationals bids: she clinched top spots in the 200 m and 400 m freestyle, demonstrated remarkable pacing in the 800 m, and showed her all-round strength in both the fly and IM events.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Alana on this well-deserved accomplishment. The club is immensely proud to have her represent us on the national stage. We look forward to cheering her on at the Summer Nationals and wish her every success in her events.
Please join us in celebrating Captain Maddock’s achievement—and stay tuned for further updates on her Nationals schedule and results!
