All Training and Learn2Swim Suspended
01 Nov 2020
Following the Government's announcement last night, the committee held a meeting this morning to discuss all options.
With immediate effect, all training will be suspended including Learn 2 Swim classes. In addition, the planned "Level X" events will now not take place.
I understand that this will be extremely upsetting for our swimmers who have been working hard over the last 3 months. The committee gave serious consideration to running the Level X events but on balance it was felt that this introduced too much risk.
We will review issues such as payment of monthly fees as quickly as possible and update you as soon as we can. We will also be actively reviewing further updates from the government and will look to re-open as soon as practical.
Swimming is a big part of all our members lives and I know this message will be a difficult one to receive, however the committee will continue to work to ensuring that we have a safe and stable club to return to once more normal times return.
As always, if you have any questions please do ask me or a member of the committee.
