With a sensational swim in the boys 11/12 years 200m Butterfly, our 10 year old rocket, Matthew, beat swimmers two years his senior to win the Bronze medal in the Regional Championships with a new Club Record time of 2:45.98. To put that time in context, it puts Matthew in the top 30 swims of all-time by British 10 year olds.

It was a great day for the family with Emily, Matthew's sister, reaching the final of the girls 13yrs 200m Breaststroke and lowering her own Club Record to 2:50.59, finishing in fourth place.

Continuing her great backstroke form of the last few weeks, Issy was looking to add to the Gold and Silver medals she picked up earlier in the Championships. Once again she reached the final, this time taking fourth place in the 13yrs 50m Backstroke with a time of 32.88. In the qualifying round, Issy smashed the 13yrs and Open age Club Records with a time of 32.37. Issy also set a new Personal Best in the 100m Freestyle, setting a time of 1:04.29, taking 13th place.

Nathan achieved 11th place in the boys 11/12yrs 200m IM with a time of 2:46.74, knocking 7 seconds off his personal best. In the 50m Freestyle he just missed out on the final but set another new PB, finishing in 9th place with a time of 30.50.

Ellena broke her PB in the girls 13yrs 50m Backstroke with an excellent time of 33.51 to finish in 17th position.

After setting a Club Record in the 50m Butterfly two weeks ago, Freddie turned his attention to the 200m Butterfly, smashing his PB by 5 seconds to finish in 10th place in 2:39.75.

Congratulations to all our competitors once again. You do the club proud!
