Covid Tier 4 - Suspension Of Club Activities
23 Dec 2020
With the announcement that the majority of Hampshire will be moved into tier 4 from Boxing Day, for the third time in my short stint as Club Chair I am afraid that I have to advise you of the suspension of all club activities
Training activities and Learn2Swim have already closed for the Christmas break however these will now NOT reopen until further notice.
Information relating to matters such as fees and annual membership payments will follow shortly. We have been fortunate up until this point to be able to suspend club fees during lockdown periods (something not all clubs have done) however even after reducing all costs to absolute essentials and utilising grant / furlough schemes, the club's reserves have been reduced and we have faced increased cost pressures associated with maintaining training at the levels we have achieved. The club remains solvent with a strong membership base but it will be necessary for us to review our finances more fully should this new lockdown be an extended one. I will ask our treasurers to update you on this once they have had a chance to review the impact.
This is certainly not the email I was hoping to send just before the break but I do hope that you can enjoy the Christmas and New Year period. I once again look forward to welcoming you back once the restrictions have been lifted.

Eastleigh Swim Club Masters swimmer Kate Steels has taken on one of her most ambitious challenges yet – completing a 21.5km swim from Baltimore to Fastnet Rock in Ireland, with hopes of setting a new ladies' record.
Eastleigh Swimming Club took part in the Salisbury Swimming Club Open Meet
We are thrilled to share that our team captain, Alana Maddock, has officially qualified for this year’s Summer Nationals.
