Performance Two Squad

  • Total Hours per week 15.5hrs
  • Target Age Range: 13-18

Squad Description

This squad is for swimmers who are competing at or aiming for County Championships standard. The squad also provides training and competition for swimmers who, for a variety of reasons, may be unable to commit to the requirements of other squads, yet allows swimmers to maintain a higher level of fitness within a structured environment. All swimmers will be working towards attending 65% of the sessions available, with swimmers who are showing a high level of commitment being offered the opportunity to move into Performance One squad on a full-time basis. Swimmers will not normally be offered a place in this squad without having reached the Age Group Performance squad part of the club’s structure and after speaking with the Head Coach.

As part of the Club Squad programme, it is intended that there will be access made for swimmers to develop their swimming skills into teaching and coaching area of the sport. This will be supported by the paid coaches at the club acting as mentors passing on their knowledge in return to swimmers coaching the younger members of the club. It is also hoped that swimmers will have access to teaching/coaching education and qualifications.
