Eastleigh Swimmers Impress at Winchester Open Meet
21 Jul 2025
Eastleigh Swim Club had a fantastic weekend at the Winchester Open Meet, held on 19th–20th July, with swimmers from across the club gaining valuable experience and delivering standout performances.
For some of our younger swimmers, this was their first time racing in a 50m pool—a big step up that didn’t faze them one bit. They rose to the occasion brilliantly, showing great determination, focus, and team spirit throughout the weekend.
Across the board, our swimmers impressed with a string of new personal bests, strong technical improvements, and some well-deserved medals. The meet provided a great opportunity to test skills developed in training and see progress in a competitive environment.
A special mention goes to Senior Club Captain Alana, who broke the club record in the 400m Individual Medley, clocking a time of 5:13.81—just edging out the previous record of 5:14.07. An incredible swim and a great way to set the tone ahead of her appearance at the Summer Nationals.
A big thank you goes to our dedicated team managers, who supported the swimmers across the weekend and helped make the meet a smooth and enjoyable experience for all involved.
Well done to everyone who took part—you all did Eastleigh Swim Club proud!
