PBs, Club Records and 24 Medals at Portsmouth Sprint Meet

Sunday saw a strong mix of Eastleigh Junior and Performance Squad swimmers achieve an excellent medal haul of 10 Golds, 8 Silvers and 6 Bronzes, multiple Personal Bests and three new Club Records at the Portsmouth Sprint meet.
Congratulations to our latest Club Record breakers, Ellie, Aiden and Fraser. Ellie set an excellent new mark of 44.83 in the 50m Butterfly in the girls 11/under age category. Aiden lowered Fraser's club record for the 50m Backstroke to 38.68, becoming the first 11/under boy to break 40 seconds in a long-course pool. Fraser had a great day, taking 5 golds and a silver, and breaking the 50m butterfly Club Record for 12-13yrs boys with a time of 31.08.

We also had some near misses for medals, with Ella, Emily, Lea, Victoria, Aiden and Josh all achieving 4th place finishes. Ella finished as the fastest 9yr old in the 9-10 years Breaststroke, an excellent achievement and just pipped to the bronze medal by her 10yr old rivals.
We had many other excellent swims and many swimmers set new personal best times. Congratulations to all who took part!
