Learn2Swim

Eastleigh Swim Club runs a well respected and thriving Learn to Swim programme. It has developed over recent years in line with the Swim England National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NPTS). This is an all-inclusive programme taking the non-swimmer from his or her first splash to developing confidence and competence in the water.

Learn2Swim Session Times

SUNDAY: Teaching Pool

  • Stages 1 to 6: Half-hour sessions between 6:00pm and 8:00pm.
  • Pre-club Stage 7: One hour session from 7:00pm to 8:00pm.

Session details for each swimmer are emailed to parents.

FRIDAY: Teaching Pool / Main Pool

  • Stages 1 to 6: Half-hour sessions between 6:00pm and 7:30pm.
  • Pre-club Stage 7: One hour sessions from 6:00pm to 7:00pm and 7:00pm to 8:00pm.

Session details for each swimmer are emailed to parents.

We are aiming to be flexible with our session times. so if you have siblings in the club and wish for the same swim time then please let us know.


Enrolment, Terms Dates and Fees

APPLICATION FORM - For new applicants, please use the Contact Us page to email the Learn2Swim Enquiries Team. Please describe any previous swimming experience and specify the session you require. Existing members will receive an electronic re-enrolment invite.

Spring 2020

  • Sundays : 6 weeks starting 5th January until 9th February inclusive and 6 weeks starting 23rd February until 29th March inclusive.
  • Fridays : 6 weeks starting 10th January until 14th February inclusive and 6 weeks starting 28th February until 3rd April inclusive.

There will be no lessons on Sunday 16th February  and Friday 21st February.


The programme is managed at Eastleigh Swim Club by our Head Coach together with a team of dedicated Swim England/STA qualified swimming teachers. They are ably assisted by some of our current senior swimmers who have competed at County level and above, providing good role models to our young swimmers.

- Children are accepted at age 3 from complete beginners through to improvers.
- Lessons are run with a maximum of 8 swimmers per class for the lower levels and 10 swimmers per class for the highest levels.

Opportunity is available for fast-track entry into the Multi-Level Training Squads of Eastleigh Swim Club for those swimmers displaying the ambition, potential and enthusiasm to further develop their swimming skills and compete in swimming events. 

All our Learn to Swim sessions are at Places Leisure Eastleigh.
