July and August have brought the 2025–2026 season to a close, with swimmers continuing to compete, gain valuable experience and represent Eastleigh Swim Club across a number of events.

Rushmoor Royals Open Meet

At the start of July, a group of swimmers competed at the Rushmoor Royals Open Meet.

It was particularly encouraging to see more of our younger swimmers taking part and gaining valuable competition experience. For many of them, these opportunities are an important part of their development and help them become more confident and comfortable in a competitive environment.

Everyone who competed across the weekend represented Eastleigh Swim Club extremely well. It was also fantastic to see the swimmers supporting and encouraging one another throughout the competition. The team spirit shown by the swimmers was excellent and was great to see.

British and English Summer Championships

A huge well done to Alana Maddock and Sammy Scott, who both competed at national level during the summer.

Alana represented Eastleigh Swim Club at the British Summer Championships, while Sammy competed at the English Summer Nationals.

Both swimmers competed brilliantly and made the most of the experience. Qualifying for and competing at these championships is a significant achievement and reflects the hard work and commitment they have shown throughout the season.

It is also fantastic to see that both swimmers have already set their goals for next year and have qualified to compete again. We look forward to following their progress and seeing what they can achieve during the 2026–2027 season.

Summer Break

The end of the season provided an opportunity for swimmers, coaches and volunteers to take a well-earned break following another busy year of training and competition.

I hope everyone enjoyed the summer break and had the opportunity to relax and recharge ready for the new season.

A big well done to everyone who took part in the Summer Challenge. It was great to see the photos and hear about some of the activities swimmers were getting involved in during the break.

Looking Ahead

A huge well done to all our swimmers for their efforts and achievements throughout the 2025–2026 season. I am looking forward to the 2026–2027 season and to seeing our swimmers continue to develop, take on new challenges and achieve their goals. There are plenty of exciting opportunities ahead, and I look forward to seeing everyone back on poolside for another successful season.
